Small things, and other projects

I'm on a bit of a hiatus right now, mostly stabilizing Project Mirabelle every now and then and adding small things. I'm using that time to finish some other projects, and I'll also be participating in the BONDAGE Game Jam, Volume 2 by DiD Games, starting later today!

First off, I've been working on making some props, and also improving how to create scenes directly in the UI through the debug menu. This is not quite complete yet - for example, I do want to add "gizmos" that allow to move object around in the scene directly by using "red/green/blue" arrows and things like that. But spawning entities is definitely a first step towards doing this!

So, in addition to these small updates, I've been making some progress on another project of mine, Stackamsels. In short, Stackamsels is a stacklands/happy sheepies-inspired game, where you run a kidnapping operation and try to make profit with low gameplay stakes. It's still in beta, missing any kind of sound, and a bit rough around the edges in terms of playability and polish, hence why I'm not officially announcing it yet. But I've been working on getting it polished - I've already added a tutorial, more options, and various quality of life things!

And finally, as mentioned at the start of this entry, I'll be participating in this year's edition of the BONDAGE Game Jam. This is the second edition of this jam organized by DiD games (makers of the J-RPG adventure Didnapper 2, the visual novel Bonds, and a bunch of ongoing pretty cool game projects in the damsel in distress space). I couldn't make it for the first one due to life stuff, but I'm excited to spend a week bringing a project to life alongside Run of the Mill as game designer, co-programmer & co-3D-artist, and also alongside Martulina as sound designer!

Here's a small asset I've been working on for preparing for this jam - it won't be used in the game we create, and we're not quite sure we'll go for this art style either, but it was training!

Anyways, there won't be many updates about Project Mirabelle during that time for sure. But I'll be around, and I'll come back to (finally) finish the pre-alpha 2 after that :)
